Frequently asked questions
Are my trails stored in the cloud?
No. All trails and runs stay exclusively local on your iPhone, in a SQLite database. There is no cloud sync, no account, and no trackers. When you switch devices, you can move trails using GPX export (Pro).
How do I transfer my Pro unlock to a new iPhone?
Trekkr Pro is tied to your Apple ID. On the new iPhone, install the Trekkr app and tap "Restore purchases" inside the app — the Pro features unlock again without a new payment.
Can my family use Trekkr Pro too?
Yes. Trekkr Pro is enabled for Apple's Family Sharing. Members of your Family group can unlock Pro with the same one-time purchase — no additional cost.
GPS isn't working in the app — what do I do?
Check Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services and make sure "Trekkr" is set to "While Using" or "Always". If you want recording to continue in the background, choose "Always". If the issue persists, email us with your iPhone model and iOS version.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds for in-app purchases are handled directly by Apple. Open reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and select the Trekkr Pro purchase. We cannot process refunds from our side because the payment flows through Apple.
Does Trekkr work without an internet connection?
Yes. Recording, markers, display of already-cached maps, statistics, and compliance analysis all work fully offline. Once you have viewed map tiles for an area, they remain available without signal. Trekkr Pro additionally lets you explicitly pre-download map regions for offline use.
